Favorite Episode

My favorite episode was Episode 9

Bringing Down the House.

In this episode the two teams were tasked with renovating a small long island home on a 20,000 dollar budget.  I liked the episode because I think it is cool to see the transformation of the space through the episode.  The winning team was Apex which was said to be because of their utilization of the elements that the house had to offer.  They kept all 4 bedrooms in their house while Raj,decided to eliminate a wall, turning Mosaics house into a 3 bedrooms. This caused the value of the house to decrease which ultimately lead to Raj being fired. Raj was also fired because he brought Ivana and Kevin back to the boardroom instead of Chris. The value of Apex's house went up by about 10% while the value of Mosaics house only increased by about 7% Trumps lesson was to control your contractor,"although they may not have gone to Harvard, they aren't inferior. They are tough, smart and can pick your pocket without you knowing it."  The gift for the winning team was to visit a jewelry store where they were able to try on and purchase diamond jewelry from trumps store.

    Cigs

    Modern

    1960's

Today, it is not often that you see an ad on TV for cigarettes.  In the 60's cigarette companies sponsored big events such as sports games so you would see many ads for cigarettes. Today you would not often see a cigarette company acting as a sponsor for sporting events. The field has largely been taken over by beer companies like bud light.  There have been rules put in place to prevent the advertising of tobacco but instead there are many anti-tobacco campaigns that advertise on tv and the internet.

    Survey results

Based on the results of the survey, it is safe to say that a hacky-sack club would be popular at RMHS.  Out of 12 people, 4  said they would enjoy a philosophy or bird watching club, 9 people said they would like a hacky-sack club. Given a short answer question asking what kind of club they would like to see, the only club with more than one vote was hacky-sack.  While my survey received the results i wanted, to make it more effective, I could have given more options for people to vote on.
